General Guidelines
Here are several effective strategies to ensure the Roots course has a profound impact on your campus students through a robust marketing approach:
Adhere to Branding Guidelines: Begin by carefully following the Roots Academy Branding Guidelines – The Roots Aesthetic. This step is instrumental in maintaining a cohesive and professional brand image.
Capture Weekly Class Moments: During each weekly Roots class, capture moments through pictures or videos. Sharing these visuals on your social media stories serves as a consistent and powerful reminder for your followers. Despite its regularity, student feedback has shown that it is an effective way to keep the course in mind. Don’t forget to tag @rootsacademyuk when you share these stories to enable re-sharing.
Leverage Tagging: Whenever you share Roots-related content, whether it’s a post, video, or story, always remember to tag @rootsacademyuk. This simple step facilitates resharing by Roots Academy, broadening your content’s reach and engagement with potential students.
Integrate WhatsApp Group Links: Simplify the process of joining Roots WhatsApp groups for interested students by adding the links to your Instagram or Linktree. This streamlined approach enhances accessibility and fosters a sense of community from the outset.
Open Communication: If you encounter any uncertainties or need clarification on any aspect of this guide, do not hesitate to reach out. You can contact your designated Roots Academy representative or send a direct message to @rootsacademy.uk on Instagram. Your inquiries and feedback are always welcome.
By implementing these strategies and maintaining open lines of communication, you can contribute significantly to the impact of the Roots course on your campus, ensuring it reaches and resonates with a broader audience of students.

Instagram Reels
Facebook is the largest social-media platform still widely utilised by many! Although the majority of its users are aged 24-35, there are still a fair number of students who use it, though less frequently.
Tips:
1) Use pictures and videos to make your posts stand out!
2) Avoid large blocks of text… students will likely scroll right past! Keep your message succinct.
3) Facebook events– inviting people to a class via an event is a potential tactic to encourage them to attend. Seeing an opportunity to learn together with friends joining the event can be a motivator!
WhatsApp is one of the most popular mobile messaging apps worldwide with over 2 billion monthly users! Broadcasting messages on Group chats is a great way to let your members know about an upcoming event!
Tips:
Broadcasts- If you have a specific ISoc whatsapp account, a good way to update your members is to send a broadcast message to them all directly! This way instead of a message being lost in a group chat they are more likely to see it.
Formatting your message effectively allows it to be seen amongst the many messages that might be sent in a busy group chat! Formatting the important details such as the date and time in bolds and italics can also make your message easier to read.
Keep it short and sweet!– The last thing students will want to do is read large blocks of text. Use a catchy headline, followed by relevant details.
- Attach a poster to it! – Using the poster for the class/event that you use for Facebook/Instagram can help people quickly digest information if they don’t read the text message.
X
X is a fast-paced platform that is particularly useful for organisations to engage with their audience base and providing short (140 character) updates with regards to events, tickets (and even class time changes!)

- An appropriate gif/meme alongside your tweet to convey excitement for an upcoming class or topic.
